Is Intermediate Algebra bad?

Hello everyone! I recently took a placement test for the community college that I am going to, and was placed into Intermediate Algebra. I read a little on it, and it seems to be more of a "remedial" math class than I planned on taking this semester. The class I have recently finished was Geometry, with which I received an A the first semester, and a B the second (Senioritis anyone?) The intermediate algebra isn't UC/ CSU transferrable, either. Basically, I'm asking what the class equates to (Algebra I? 2?) and if there is any advice you may have. Thank you!
