In what way is a Christian more moralistic and "good" than any other decent person?

Most Christians don't claim this and shouldn't. The Bible teaches us that no one is "righteous" in the eyes of God and that "...all have sinned and fallen short...". Christians just understand that the only way to live one's life is by the will of God, something we will fall short of doing perfectly until we are redeemed upon our deaths.
